Covid-19

The following is a brief synopsis of ways we keep you safe in our office.

SAFE DISTANCE BETWEEN TREATMENT AREAS

Our office has an open and flowing design which allows us to adhere to social distancing guidelines as recommended by the CDC. All of our treatment units are spaced at least six feet apart. This distances you from other people who might be in the office. We also have separated isolated treatment rooms for circumstances necessitating their use.

WE USE HEPA AIR FILTERS IN EVERY TREATMENT ROOM

High Efficiency Particular Air (HEPA) filters, which also have a carbon pre-filter, remove the microscopic particles that might be in the air.

WE STERILIZE ALL EQUIPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL SURFACES THAT YOU MAY COME INTO CONTACT WITH

We use the best sterilizing agents known to man to thoroughly clean all instruments, equipment and surfaces you may contact while in our facility. We use a special device to sterilize not only your set of instruments but essentially any appliance we will be delivering to you. Our waiting areas are cleaned in between patients’ uses.

MINIMIZING CLOSE CONTACT WITH OTHERS

We have staggered our schedule to minimize the number of patients in the office at a time to avoid close contact with others. We have asked all patients to wait in their cars upon arrival. Once in our parking lot, we ask that you notify us of your arrival, and as soon as your room is ready, we will invite you in with your mask on. You will promptly use the hand sanitizer at the front desk. This minimizes congestion in the waiting areas. We have removed almost all decorative items from the waiting area as well as the treatment rooms to make sanitizing more effective.

WE USE PPE

We use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Personal protection equipment is anything we use in your treatment that helps protect you, as the patient, and us, as the providers. Examples are gloves, masks, face shields and protective eyewear for you and us, but there are many, many other devices we use as well to keep you safe. We use a strict in-office protocol among the staff. All enter the facility with masks on and get their temperatures taken, including myself. We do not remove our masks at any part of the day, unless we are breaking for lunch, which is structured to be apart from one another. We also ask that you wear your mask while moving about the office, i.e. entry, use of restroom, exiting.

CLINICAL GARMENTS ARE LAUNDERED ON SITE

We change out of our street clothing, including our shoes, to put on clean clinic garments used in clinical services on site as to not bring any contact from outside of the facility. This prevents the infiltration of microbes, and keeping not only you safer, but our whole community.

WE PRESCREEN ALL OF OUR PATIENTS

This includes a questionnaire to be filled out by each of our patients on our schedule to try to eliminate those suffering from an illness that could potentially be undiagnosed viral infection. This reduces the potential spread of respiratory droplets from those suffering from a cough or common cold.

TEMPERATURE CHECKS

We take the temperature of everyone who enters our treatment facility with a touchless thermometer. Taking temperatures is one screening tool that helps eliminate those suffering from early onset of the virus that may not be aware of their symptoms. All team members entering, as well as service people, are included in this precaution, from our dental supply reps to our patients being treated.

PROTECTIVE BARRIERS

Minimizing respiratory aerosols is our goal and to do so we have installed clear barriers at each of our front desk locations to allow you to be able to ask questions and for our team to communicate with you clearly without risk of transmission, as an extra precaution to wearing masks while communicating.
